Connectivity in group dances

Micro to Macro, macro to micro – a workshop on group connectivity

Join us in this playful and intuitive workshop where we will explore on the themes of group dynamics and connectivity. We will introduce different dynamics of dancing and how it impacts (or not!) the group dance. Get ready to dance big, tiny, on lava or clouds… and more importantly: make it work as a group.

Level: The workshop is targeted at beginners who have experience dancing cercle circassiens, andros & hanterdros at balls or have followed a beginners course (“begonners”). Basic steps can be shortly repeated if needed, but are not the core of the workshop. Depending on the level in the room, we can tune it to intermediate level. Seasoned dancers are welcome to join in too.

Description teachers: Dance duo based in Ghent. Louise started her first dance steps in salsa (2008) and Joris has a background in ballroom dances (2008). After some years, they both switched to Balfolk and have been stuck with it ever since. They offer workshops characterized by being intuitive and using playful exercises, during which they share tips and tricks that they picked up over the years.
