Tired of staying on the side when you hear Breton dance names like kost ar c’hoad or suite de gavotte? Then this workshop is for you!
In this session, we will start by learning the suite plinn as a warm-up, going through the basic steps and learning the second part, which is called the bal. Once everyone feels comfortable, we will dive into the main focus of the workshop, the kost ar c’hoad, exploring its steps and dynamics.
These dances are known for being demanding, both physically and rhythmically.This workshop is aimed at intermediate dancers who want to take the time to understand and work through the steps in detail, in order to feel more confident and grounded when dancing them in a fest-noz or in a bal folk.
