The Nordic Connection

The Nordic Connection is a newly formed folk band based in Ghent. They bring a mixture of original compositions, Belgian & Nordic traditionals, and ancient Lithuanian melodies.
This diversity of influences blends together as the musicians fill the space between them with intimate melodies and infectious rhythms.

Their love for music and dancing brought them together on a cold November night at the city’s Nordic jam session. Ever since then they've been creating unique arrangements that they can't wait for you to dance to.

The Nordic Connection is Ilya Crols (viola d’amore), Galya Sky (cello, kanklės), Oscar De Smet (flute), Tomas Fiers (viola), and Essi Mutka (cello, baritone ukulele).
