Ton-Ton-Demi-Ton

Ton Ton Demi Ton was born on the squares of Strasbourg during spontaneous “bals sauvages” and later found its place on major stages like Les Grands Bals de l’Europe. For more than four years, Simon (recorder) and Marion (diatonic accordion) have been combining their musical energy with inspiration drawn from encounters on countless dance floors.

Along the way they also embraced Swedish music, adding the nyckelharpa to their instruments. The result is an original and colourful repertoire ranging from neo trad couple dances to traditional French folk, enriched with tunes from the Basque Country, Belgium, Russia and of course Sweden.

Their mission is simple: to get as many people dancing as possible in a spirit of fun, sharing, discovery and joy. For that, they are never afraid to join the dancers on the floor and guide them through the steps themselves.
