Saturday evening jam

This Saturday evening jam at BalhallaFestival is a cozy and spontaneous musical finale to the festival night. When the last band has finished playing, some visitors take out their instruments – sometimes from our free instrument cloakroom – and gather in the middle of the dance hall to play Balfolk music together. Dancing continues while the music emerges naturally from the participants.

Many dancers are secretly musicians too, and everyone is welcome to join: if you play an instrument, feel free to bring it! During this jam, you can play along by ear, helping to create a unique musical atmosphere. It’s not about perfection, but about fun, collaboration, and sharing music and dance.
