Le Mange Bal

Le Mange Bal is one of the pioneers of the emerging trad folk electronic scene (alongside Beat Bouet Trio, Patate Sound System, Turfu, Superparquet). Their music draws on traditional dance repertoires from Occitania, Auvergne, Poitou and Brittany.

Tunes once heard on village squares and balfolk dance floors are reimagined for drum machine, sampler, accordion, clarinet and analog synthesiser. The result is an irresistible fusion of tradition and electronics that works just as well on world music and contemporary stages as on folk dance floors across Europe.

The duo features Théodore Lefeuvre accordionist, keyboardist, machine player, composer and founder and Loïc Vergnaud. Together they deliver deep grooves and traditional melodies dressed in a modern sound.
